Lubbock Layabouts starter Pedro Flores was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Odessa Cowhands, 5-4. Laertes Ramos earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. Gavin Yarwood locked down his 1st save.

Lubbock used the timely hitting of Greg Steward to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Layabouts on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments, Steward said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
