Layabouts Get 14-6 Win Versus Marfa
Ghost Lights Field was the site for Association of Western Texas action featuring the Marfa Ghost Lights and Lubbock Layabouts.

The 14-6 Lubbock win over Marfa was due largely to Conor Macdonald. The Layabouts right fielder went 3-5 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Picking up the win was Felipe Chávez. He went 9 innings, allowing 6 runs on 11 hits. The right--hander struck out 1 and walked 3.

Tulio Gutiérrez could have done more damage. In the bottom of the ninth, with Marfa trailing 14-2, Marfa had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Gutiérrez grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Lubbock would go on to win the game.

The last-place Layabouts raised their record to 13-12.
