The Abilene Preachers picked up a win at Cowhands Park, knocking off the Odessa Cowhands, 5-2. Starting pitcher Errol Banfield was a big reason why. Losses have been rare for the Cowhands, who are now 12-5.

In the top of the sixth, Abilene center fielder Martín Corral had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 3rd and two out, Corral stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-1, Abilene. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles.

Corral told a Abilene Chronicle reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
