Cardinals Down Giants, 12-4
No one was more impactful than Hughie Jennings in the 12-4 St. Louis win over New York. Jennings, who finished 5th in the NL in hits with 168 in 1891, went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. St. Louis now has a record of 70-58 with the win.

An important at-bat for St. Louis came with two out in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, Jennings hit a bases-clearing double, which contributed to the Cardinals win.

"I like our moxie," said Cardinals manager Craig Widner.
