Late Magic Gets Brooklyn 3-1 Win
The Brooklyn Bridegrooms topped the Cincinnati Reds, 3-1, in National League action at League Park II 1894-1901. The game was highlighted by the performance of Brooklyn pitcher John Horan. Frank Pearce collected his 1st save. At 57-67, the Bridegrooms find themselves in 6th place in the National League.

Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Arlie Latham to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bridegrooms on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Latham after the game.
