Yardmen Show Nerve in Tight 8-7 Win
The Wichita Falls Yardmen sent the home crowd home ecstatic.

The Wichita Falls Yardmen bested the El Paso Finos by a score of 8-7, with left fielder Matt McKeen getting the main credit. On the day, McKeen was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Yardmen. Wichita Falls reliever Mike Jones got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Sean Harris was tagged with the loss.

In the bottom of the ninth, Adalberto Toscano had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring error to center off El Paso pitcher Sean Harris.

"No time for posing," said McKeen. "The next game will be here before you know it."

The loss makes the Finos 5-9.
