Isabela starter Esteban Hernández clamped down on the Trujillo Alto offense, while his team cruised to victory, 12-1. Hernández, now 5-1, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Hopes are already high for the Gallitos this season and wins like this do nothing but raise expectations.
The Gallitos benefited from a costly error in the top of the first. With Esteban Álvarez at bat and Isabela leading 1-0, the Trujillo Alto miscue allowed Isabela to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
