Dan McGann made an impact in the 13-8 Boston win over St. Louis. McGann, who is tied for 10th in the NL in runs scored with 46, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Boston used the clutch hitting of Bobby Lowe to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Beaneaters the lead, 9-8. For the game, Lowe had 2 singles and 1 double in 6 at-bats.
