Phillies Win 3-2 Walk-Off
|
Philadelphia starter Hardie Henderson pitched well against the New York Giants at National League Park 1895-1909. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Philadelphia is 26-14 and New York, with the loss, 12-28.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Giants allowed the Phillies to score the winning run.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Henderson.
