The Bangor Bishops got a stellar performance from pitcher Thomas Gonzalez, who handcuffed the Cardiff offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Bishops Park. Gonzalez went the distance for Bangor. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits.

Gonzalez threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball against the Arcadians. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he hit a run-scoring single that put Bangor in front, 2-1.

"Good win for us," said Gonzalez. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
