Tortugas Get 6-2 Win Versus Florida
|
Tito Dueñas impressed in the 6-2 Culebra win over Florida. Dueñas, who finished 2nd in the LH in slugging percentage with .513 in 1891, went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. At 60-66, the Tortugas claim third place in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago.
With Culebra leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Dueñas hit a 2-run single off Florida hurler Crisanto Madrid. It was the 141st hit of the season for Dueñas and put his team ahead, 4-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Dueñas.
