Picazo Hits 2 home runs in Valencianos Win
|
The Juncos Valencianos and Santa Isabel Potros completed their game despite the rain.
The timely hitting of Jorge Picazo helped the Juncos Valencianos down the Santa Isabel Potros, 8-6. Picazo was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Valencianos. Práxedes Montes recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 6 for 6.
Picazo contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Juncos in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 5-4, Picazo took a sinker from Jorge Aguirre and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Valencianos to leap in front, 8-5.
"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Picazo.
The victory makes Juncos 37-89.
