Darío Martínez had a good game, but he could not keep the Aguada Arzobispos from falling, 9-7, to the Catano Guardacostas at Parque de los Arzobispos. The Aguada third baseman went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 in the loss. The win was credited to Omar Cruz in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Zacarías Rivas took the loss.

The most important at-bat for Catano came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Baudelio Jiménez reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, putting Catano up, 8-7.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Jiménez told the Catano News.

Catano now sits at 59-67, while Aguada falls to 43-82.
