San Juan picked up a win at Parque de San Juan, bumping off the Cabo Rojo Combatientes, 4-3. Pitcher Divino Sánchez was a major reason the Metropolitanos emerged victorious. San Juan leads the Liga Betances Metro Central by 5½ games.

In the bottom of the ninth, Honesto Hurtado had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring single to left off Cabo Rojo pitcher Absalón Rubio.

"Good team win," Hurtado said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
