Avancinos Go 10 Innings to Beat Mayaguez, 3-2
|
The Villalba Avancinos scored a tight 3-2 win versus the Mayaguez Capitanes at Parque de los Capitanes. Villalba pitcher Zósimo Campos held his own in the contest. Campos got the win, improving to 26-13. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 10 innings. Campos allowed 2 runs. The first-place Avancinos have a record of 79-45.
Evaristo Adame, the 34-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Adame contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Villalba up, 3-2.
