Pescadores Win, 2-1, in Extra Frames
|
Parque de los Pescadores was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The Luquillo Soles wasted an inspired, 6-inning effort from starter Carlomagno Castillo, falling 2-1 to the Salinas Pescadores at Parque de los Pescadores. The Pescadores now have a mark of 83-40.
The Pescadores procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Édgar Martín. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Martín.
