The Florida Mogotes faced a tough opponent in Carolina pitcher Marco Seda, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Jardines de Carolina by a final score of 4-3. Seda went 11 innings and allowed 4 runs. Florida reliever Laertes de Jesús picked up the win, upping his record to 4-7. Marco Seda shouldered the loss. Florida goes to 37-85, Carolina to 54-69.

The most important at-bat for Florida came in the top of the 11th inning. With one out, Ubaldo Hernández reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run, putting Florida up, 4-3.
