Ceiba Picudos starter Ezequiel Torres turned in an exceptional performance against the Vega Baja Caneros at Campo de los Picudos, resulting in a Ceiba win, 6-1. Ceiba is now 55-67.

Josué Morales dealt the Caneros a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Ceiba leading 1-0, Morales hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run single.

"The team always comes first, so pulling out the win on a day like today is the most important thing," Torres told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
