The timely hitting of Gabriel Sánchez helped the Gurabo Tainos down the Yabucoa Azucareros, 7-6. Sánchez was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Tainos. Tadeo Caraballo picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-4. Rolando Soto was tagged with the loss. With the win, Gurabo upped its record to 63-56.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Sánchez hit a fastball from Rolando Soto for a run-scoring single. The Tainos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Sánchez said.
