Juan Martínez pitched well, but the Almendares Alacranes still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the Artemisa Rojos at Recinto de Almendares. The Rojos are now 20-14, while the Alacranes fall to 15-19.

Had Esteban Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Martínez hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rojos.

Martínez told a Artemisa Herald reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
