Capitanes Pull Off Thrilling 7-5 Win in Extras
No one was more impactful than Cid Franco in the 7-5 Mayaguez win over San German. Franco went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Picking up the win was Manuel Martínez. He went 10 innings, allowing 5 runs on 15 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 1. The second-place Capitanes have a record of 75-43.

Mayaguez used the timely hitting of Mórsimo Rodríguez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Capitanes on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
