Azucareros second baseman Bolívar Fuentes put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Loiza Vejigantes. Fuentes went 3-3 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for Yabucoa in the contest. Yabucoa now sits in second place in the Liga Hostos Este at 52-64.

In the bottom of the fifth, with Yabucoa leading 2-0, first baseman Raúl Longoria hit a 2-run single. The hit came off Miguel Manzanares and put the Azucareros ahead, 4-0.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Longoria said after the game.
