The Rincon Ingenieros picked up a win at Campo de Rincón, knocking off the Bayamon Vaqueros, 8-7. On the mound for Rincon was right-hander Nerón Jiménez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Marcelo Aguirre, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. The Ingenieros saw their record improve to 88-27.

The Ingenieros procured the win, in large part because of catcher Juan Calderón. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Calderón said.
