Ciales second baseman Fabián Sandoval played a vital role in his team's 8-6 triumph over Luquillo. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Ciales. Ciales is now 61-52, Luquillo 67-46.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Ciales trailing 6-5, Sandoval hit a fastball from Ciro Celis for a 3-run home run, giving the Valerosos the walk-off win.
