The Coamo Maratonistas got a stellar effort from pitcher Hilario Herrera, helping Coamo score a win over the visiting Juncos Valencianos, 3-2. Juncos, at 32-74, has lost 9 straight.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Bernal Castillo had a chance to be the hero. Juncos pitcher Abilio Corrales had other ideas. But with no outs, Castillo hit a sacrifice fly. The Maratonistas had themselves a dramatic win.

Juncos manager Juan Pérez said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
