The Isabela Gallitos picked up a win at Parque de los Changos, knocking off the Naranjito Changos, 7-4. Starting pitcher Vicente Corona played a key role in the triumph. Corona, now 21-13, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 4 runs. The first-place Gallitos improved to 72-34.
Rubén Ballesteros gave Isabela a good at-bat in the top of the fifth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run triple to help send Isabela to the win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ballesteros told the Isabela Gazette.
