The Ciales Valerosos and Orocovis Caciques provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Orocovis Caciques picked up a win at Parque de los Valerosos, knocking off the Ciales Valerosos, 3-2. Starting pitcher Facundo Ramos was a big reason why. Ramos, the winner, moves to 21-13. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk. Cleto Arocho was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 4 save opportunities.

Orocovis used the timely hitting of Emanuel Alfaro to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Caciques on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Ciales manager Gilberto Tamayo.

Orocovis is first in the Liga Betances Centro with a record of 60-46.
