Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Grises
|
The Humacao Grises picked up a win at Recinto de los Toritos, knocking off the Cayey Toritos, 6-3. Starting pitcher Daniel González played a key role in the triumph. González, now 6-7, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Humacao is first in the Liga Hostos Este with a record of 60-45.
González had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth to put Humacao in front, 4-2. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
