The Sabana Grande Petateros picked up a win at Parque de los Changos, taking down the Naranjito Changos, 5-3. Starting pitcher Martín Plascencia was a big reason why. Plascencia, the winner, moves to 15-20. He threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 9 walks. The second-place Petateros are 54-50.

Sabana Grande used the timely hitting of Lorenzo Chávez to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Petateros on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Chávez told the Sabana Grande Daily.
