The Yabucoa Azucareros topped the Caguas Criollos, 6-5, with pinch hitter Telmo Chávez playing a big role. Chávez was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Azucareros in the win. Agustín Núñez finished to wrap up his 3rd save. Yabucoa bumps their record to 44-57 with the win.

Chávez had a timely hit for Yabucoa in the top of the eighth. With Caguas trailing 5-3, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 6-5, Yabucoa.
