Tortugas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Changos
Naranjito got a valiant performance from pitcher Eugenio Costello, but it wasn't enough to beat the Culebra Tortugas. Culebra won the game, 4-3. Costello threw 10.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Picking up the win was Jesús López. He went 11 innings, allowing 3 runs on 11 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 3. The Tortugas procured the win, in large part because of catcher Gonzalo Villa. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
