Conditions were not ideal but Lajas and Cabo Rojo were able to put their game in the books.

Despite a fine performance by second baseman Diego Morales, the Cabo Rojo Combatientes lost to the Lajas Marcianos, 6-5. Morales was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. Casiodoro Rodríguez picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 11 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 15-11.

Noé Pérez, the 1896 LB home run champion , had a direct impact on the outcome. Pérez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Lajas up, 6-2.
