Corozal left fielder Juan Marte pounded Humacao Grises pitchers at Parque de los Grises, but it was not enough to keep the Plataneros from falling, 8-7. Marte slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. With the victory, the Grises record now stands at 54-42.

Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Humacao third baseman Filemón González had a chance to be the hero. Facing Corozal pitcher Nicandro Naranjo with runners on 1st and 3rd, González, who is on pace for 210 hits this season, reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run.
