Las Piedras first baseman Daniel Hernández had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hernández was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and 3 walks. He scored 2 times, even as Utuado beat the Artesanos, 8-7. Augurio Dávila came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 12-16.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the 15th. With Utuado trailing 7-6, Gabriel Tapia hit a fastball from Julián Vásquez to left for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Montaneses had a walk-off win.

"We came out aggressive," said Montaneses manager Demetrio Bustamante. "We came out swinging the bats."

Utuado bumps their record to 39-53 with the win.
