Quebradillas Piratas starter Casiodoro Beovides was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Las Piedras Artesanos, 6-3. Quebradillas, at 49-39, holds down second place in the Liga Hostos Noroeste.

Beovides came through for Quebradillas with a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. He hit a first pitch sinker to right field, staking his team to a 3-1 lead.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Beovides told the Quebradillas Times. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
