Santa Isabel Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Santa Isabel Potros had to overcome a big game from Guaynabo left fielder Federico Cabrera to leave Estadio de Santa Isabel with a victory. And they did, winning 10-9. Cabrera was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Santa Isabel reliever Nehemías Reyes was credited with the win, to go to 2-3. Ricardo Serrano took the loss for Guaynabo. The Potros go to 30-54 with the win.

Mario Ruiz was the walk-off hero for Santa Isabel. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Potros second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"I like winning," Ruiz told the Santa Isabel Daily News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
