Mayaguez Makes It 6 Straight with 5-3 Win
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Mayaguez Capitanes and Rincon Ingenieros.

The Mayaguez Capitanes picked up a win at Campo de Rincón, knocking off the Rincon Ingenieros, 5-3. Starting pitcher Carmelo Urbina played a key role in the triumph. Urbina went the distance for Mayaguez. He gave up 3 runs on 9 hits.

Mayaguez used the clutch hitting of Luis Flores to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Capitanes ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

In postgame comments, Urbina told the Mayaguez Today: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
