The Cayey Toritos topped the Villalba Avancinos by a score of 8-6. Leading the way was right fielder Miguel Hidalgo. Hidalgo was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Toritos. Fernando Sandoval was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 10 hits, with 5 walks and 3 strikeouts. The victory puts Cayey at 29-51.

Toritos manager Getulio Palomares wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
