Brewers second baseman Jack Crooks put his stamp on his team's 9-8 win over the St. Louis Browns. Crooks hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Milwaukee in the contest. The Brewers' win now puts them at 64-75.

Crooks had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a first pitch fastball from Bert Dorr, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Brewers a 9-8 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Crooks.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Jerry Barger said.
