Late Magic Gets Milwaukee 5-3 Win
St. Louis wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Billy Hart, falling to the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-3. Hart threw 10.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Dick Burns picked up the win with 10 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 12 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 17-22. The Brewers improved to 63-75.

Milwaukee used a timely hit from Charlie Reilly to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
