Brewers Win 13-12 Walk-Off
The inspired effort of Cleveland center fielder George Davis was not enough to prevent a loss, 13-12, to the Milwaukee Brewers. Davis was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Milwaukee reliever Kyle Duxbury was the winner. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Ed Keas. At 56-71, the Brewers claim 6th place in the American League.

Coming to the plate with no one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Milwaukee pinch hitter Jim Wages had a chance to be the hero. Facing Cleveland pitcher Ed Keas with runners on 1st and 2nd, Wages hit a run-scoring single.

"The house was rockin'," said Wages.
