Louisville's Wagner Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
5 times is the charm -- at least for Honus Wagner.

The Louisville Colonels center fielder tore up the Boston Reds to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Congress Street Grounds today. The offensive onslaught from Wagner powered the Colonels to a 13-9 win.

"Wagner was a tough out today," Boston manager Ed Caskin said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Honus Wagner singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

So far this season Wagner has put up a .376 batting average with 169 hits, 2 home runs and 82 RBIs.
