The Boston Reds topped the St. Louis Browns, 8-1, in American League action at Congress Street Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Boston pitcher George Meakim. Boston now has a record of 58-43 with the win.

The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Congress Street Grounds crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Ed Caskin said.
