Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Browns
St. Louis Browns starter Nat Hudson turned in a top-notch performance against the Washington Senators at Sportsman's Park I. The result was a win for the Browns, 3-2. In 11 innings, Hudson surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. The Browns now own a record of 56-31.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when St. Louis catcher Jim McCauley, facing Jim McKay, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Browns the 3-2 win.

"Exhilarating win," said McCauley.
