The Caguas Criollos did just enough to sneak past the Corozal Plataneros, 7-6, at Parque de los Criollos. Caguas first baseman Guillermo Delgado, in particular, had a standout performance. Erón Bautista, 5-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Earning his 1st save of the year was Édgar Valenzuela.

Felipe Villalobos went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Caguas. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the eighth, Villalobos came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Criollos in front, 7-6.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Delgado said.

The Criollos, at 15-63, sit in third place in the Liga Hostos Valle del Turabo.
