The rain came, as predicted, but the Yauco Corsos and Rio Grande Cotorras were able to complete their ballgame.

Behind a solid performance from right fielder Ildefonso Bibian, the Yauco Corsos defeated the Rio Grande Cotorras, 9-4. Bibian went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Corsos. Yauco pitcher Juan Águila got the win. He's now 16-6. Eleuterio Vásquez was tagged with the loss.

With Yauco leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Juan Águila hit a run-scoring single off Rio Grande pitcher Eleuterio Vásquez. It put the Corsos ahead 2-0.

In postgame comments to the Yauco Observer, Bibian said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The first-place Corsos raised their record to 48-31.
