The Cidra Palomas overcame a fine performance by Juncos center fielder Jorge Picazo to defeat the Valencianos, 7-6, at Coliseo de los Valencianos. Picazo went 2 for 3 with a triple and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. At 53-26, the Palomas are currently first in the Liga Betances Cordillera Este.

The result might have been different, had it not been for Eliseo Castaño, the Cidra right fielder. Castaño had a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Palomas ahead, 7-6. For the game, Castaño had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
