The skies opened up and the rain fell at Parque de los Atléticos.

The Guayama Brujos beat the San German Atleticos, 6-4. Guayama pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native Ernesto Cerda led the way. The save went to Gabriel Santos, his 2nd this season.

Guayama used the clutch hitting of Heráclito Linares to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brujos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Cerda.

At 32-41, the Brujos are currently second in the Liga Hostos Valle Costero.
