Canovanas Beats Aguada, 6-4
|
The Canovanas Chupacabras picked up a win at Campo de los Chupacabras, knocking off the Aguada Arzobispos, 6-4. Starting pitcher Efraín Lobato was a big reason why. Lobato, now 15-9, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 0, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. Canovanas now owns a record of 46-26.
Miguel Pagán was a prime contributor to the Canovanas win. He was 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth with two out, the 28-year old center fielder hit a 2-run single. It made the score 5-1, in favor of the Chupacabras.
"Good win for us," said Pagán. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
