The Lares Patriotas picked up a win at Campo de los Picudos, knocking off the Ceiba Picudos, 4-3. On the mound for Lares was left-hander Édgar Robles, who played a pivotal role in the win. Belasco Cintrón recorded his 2nd save for Lares. With the win over Ceiba, the Patriotas improved to 31-42.

Caguas, Puerto Rico-born Tirso Meléndez came through in the clutch. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded and the Patriotas trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Lares on top.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Robles said. "That's how it goes."
